I promised an update, so here it is.
Vacation was a blast
We spent a week in San Diego, had a great time visiting Sea World, the zoo, the beaches and Old Town as well as many other places. Then headed up to Napa where we had rented a house for a week. Spent a lot of time driving and just relaxing, the coast was gorgeous, and lots of little shops and peace and quiet. A little cold up there for me, but fun none the less. After leaving we went to the California State fair, then worked our way back down the coast to LA. All in all it was a month I will always hold near and dear to my heart.
Upon our arrival home it was time to face the dreaded cancer diagnosis. Four days after vacation I went in for surgery. They removed pretty much everything: uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes, and 13 lymph nodes. My stage 1b cancer became stage 3b when they found the cancer had in fact spread to the lymph nodes as well as the rest of my reproductive organs. We are trying to stay positive, Chemo and Radiation treatments start Monday...everyone is worried about my ability to stay hydrated, but will deal with that if I have to later. Chemo says all my hair will fall out, so buying a wig for my birthday...LOL
On the bright side, I am just over 6 months out, and have lost a total of 90 pounds to date. I have 28 pounds to go to reach goal. I am betting Chemo has me below goal in no time though. I would like to thank all of you for all the support you have given me through this time, I truly have appreciated it. I will keep you all updated on my progress and good luck to all of you on reaching your goals.
