    Default Popcorn

I ate about 1/2 of a small bag at the movies...tried to spit out the hulls. Wondering if popcorn at almost 2 months out hurt me. No added salt or butter??

I have popcorn almost every night. The thing is make it good. if you are going to have something even our small amounts make it worth it in flavor. We need to remember we need to live. The sleeve is just a tool, and we need to work with it for the better. Linda

Thanks all good to know. Yeah I held the butter and salt on purpose, I don't like it, before my sleeve it would make me sick, so I just get it plain and I like it that way, I think the popcorn from the concession stand tastes like it's already buttered and salted. The microwave popcorn I make (not since a couple weeks before surgery), I add a couple shakes of ranch dressing mix and then mix it all up in a zip lock baggie, you should try, it's so yummy!!!!

My program would not have us eating popcorn or snacks like this at all, especially so close to surgery. This is the time to be losing the bulk of our excess weight...and eating protein is the key. I would not want to irritate my incision line. Leaks can still occur.

You are just a few days over 6 weeks, so I would still be very careful. Research shows that even up to a year later, scarred tissue is only about 80% the strength as your regular tissue. So I would still be very cautious. And as much as I love popcorn, that might not be one of my first choices when I am at the stage you are.
