    Default Early plateau??

Hey guys!! I was sleeved on 8/20. I am down 22 pounds including the liquid diet. Usually when I checked my weight everyday, I went down a pound or 2 per day.... Now for the past 4 days, I've been stuck at 315.... Has this happened to anyone else? What can I do to break the plateau?? Help!!!!

Yup it's normal. I was stalled for about 3 weeks only 5 days after my surgery. It is super frustrating and upsetting, but I think each one of us goes through it. The scal WILL move again. Lol.

I;ve been stalled since right about 2.5 weeks. Haven't moved a pound, except gained 1. Very frustrating. Not we can do but wait it out.

Stay strong , this is very normal and it will pass. I am currently 9 weeks post op and was just on a 17 day stall. Talk about going nuts ! I thought the worst, I thought My new stomach was broken. I even called the Dr.s office crying. lol. I called the nutritionist and told her I was eating 500 cals per day and she said I was eating too little. So I uped my cals to 8/900 and 1 week of doing that I have lost another 2 pounds. Try not to weigh yourself every day. You will drive your self crazy with the # game. Your body has to play catch up. It will happen. Good luck to you !

I am in the same boat. I am down 29 lbs with liquid diet and for 2 days now I am holding steady at 291. I plan to increase exercise over the weekend and see if I can't get it moving again. Good luck to you hon. I'm sure our numbers will start going again when our pants catch up lol

Oh my gosh! That is me! I'm trying not to weigh every day, so since Tuesday (surgery date 8/20, like you) I've jumped on the scale and wait just before it decides on the exact weight and then I get off. LOL But I can easily see that I'm not losing anything this week. I've been very good, still on full liquids, and getting my 60g of protein without fail every day...and water. I don't know what the deal is! Thanks for asking this question. I'll be following this thread for sure!

I'm in the same boat, I'm down 30 since the surgery but I've been there for a week. However my husband has made great comments about how good my calves look and I had not noticed them at all. My clothes fit big too, all my pants I used to hang out so they wouldn't be tight have to be dried on high and still are loose :-) and my shirts are baggy!

Same issue here, I'm down 27 pounds including my pre surgery diet and I've been stalled for a week and a half. I noticed it started when I started eating real food so I started going to the gym again to see if that can help me break this stall.

So good to read these because I thought it was just me!! I will be 4 weeks post op on Monday and the scales have not budged since the day I came home from the hospital!! (Well a pound up/ a pound down kind of thing)! I was told the same info everyone else is saying... increase calories, protein, water, and exercise!! Looking forward to seeing some results!!!

Three weeks out and stalled for 2 weeks already but lost some inches, it does suck but it seems the norm in the beginning.

I talked to my NUT about this as I started to see the numbers stall.. she had indicated that since we were doing a low carb diet pre-op, that our livers are getting used to having carbs again and this can cause the stall. Even though the numbers aren't moving, I will say that inches are! Not sure how all that works, however I have dropped a whole size even though I'm at the same weight I was over a week ago. I have no doubt if I keep doing what I'm doing that it will happen... Patience is not my strength!
