I can't sleep and it's driving me mad! I was wide awake until 6.45am this morning, it was 5am the morning before! My mood is shot today. Feeling miserable, tired and cranky. Anyone else suffer this? X
Oh Lawdd yes I had horrible time wth sleep after surgery and I cant remember how long. Leg cramps about drove me fruity,, but it all goes aways in time.. Just rest when you can, dont feel guilty if you have to sleep in the day alot at first.. You need your rest. Hope you are better real soon.
I am having the opposite issue. I went to bed last night around 830!!!! got up at 7 with my alarm this morning and planning a nap in about an hour when the baby does. Now in between sleeping I have tons of energy but I seem to bottom out in a second flat and nothing will keep me awake! Good luck I hope you body does a rest soon and lets you sleep
Thanks guys, I totally get the leg thing dribblerone! Drives me nuts. I can't really sleep during the day as I have 2 little boys (start school next week) think I'm gonna take a sleeping pill tonight to see if it helps - Can't wait to get back to normal!!! X
I'm up half the night most days too. I was the same before but now it's worse. Blah!!
Yes, sleep was definitely and issue the first week and a half after surgery. Didn't help that I had hives from an allergic reaction so I was up scratching half the night. My doc prescribed me a sleeping pill and it has helped tremendously. I had to take 2 the first 2 nights because I woke up an hour after taking one and it was supposed to knock me out for 7 - 8 hours! (And I've never taken a sleeping pill before in my life!) I've been able to just take 1 the last few nights and can get about 7 1/2 hours without waking up. Going to try to sleep without it tonight. But boy did getting a few nights of solid sleep make a difference in my energy level and mood! Made me feel like a new person.
Good luck!
