Also anyone else FREEZING????

So pre op at 320 lbs my house was at 69 with fans running and I was warm to comfortable but almost never cold. Now that I am down the 25lbs I keep the house around 73 and I am still cold. My poor husband is dying lol.Is it possible that the surgeon also swapped out my internal thermostat?? Or is it possible that it went "HEY NOT ENOUGH RIBS IN HERE!! and took off on its own. Has anyone else noticed this change? I find my self going outside for a few minutes just to warm up lol.

I though This only happen to me because when I talk to other ppl they look at me funny. I have been cold 2 I used to be hot all the time I used to sleep with the ac and fan on summer and winter... Now I wait for hubby to be a sleep and I turn the fan down and the temperature up on the ac

I'm over three years out and I'm still cold. I am a stay at home wife, and unless I'm doing housework, I keep the thermostat at 77 during the day. We DO turn it down to 71 at night, but I also have two quilts on us!! Crazy!

I use to be hot and sweating all the time. I need the covers on me now and LOVE IT!!!!!

YES! I was ALWAYS hot before surgery. Sweating in places I don't even want to mention on here. I am a Floridian and trust me, you never get used to the heat. Now, post-op, I am so cold in my house at night. Also, I work at a florist and when I have to go into the coolers it hurts my bones it's so cold. I used to hid in those things during the summer I was so hot before.

Same here, with every pound I lose the colder I get. I feel sorry for the others now because I always kept everyone freezing because I was so hot all the time! I will probably be an iceberg when I get to goal weight. lol

Wonder what causes this?? I watched a few videos on youtube about the gastric sleeve and those people said they were cold all the time as well. Things that make you go ummmmm.....

I'm relieved to see I'm not crazy and not alone. My hands, feet and tip of my nose are almost always cold. I live in Canada and winter is around the corner. I have no idea how I won't freeze to death this winter. Call me Mrs. Frost. Lol

Yep... I was a big A/C always on type of guy before surgery... Now... Holy cow... I am always freezing!! I have to get out of my office to thaw myself out in the sun.

I believe the reason for this is because we have such a low calorie intake. It takes a certain degree in temp for our bodies to burn 1 calorie... that is why all animals including us stay warmer when they eat. Body temps rise to try burning off the calories we take in.

Winter wont be an issue for me because I have TONS AND TONS of sweaters, sweats and sweatshirts and jeans and such that I always buy but never fit ( they will by then at this rate) And I love love love sweaters and layering clothes, I love the snugly warm fuzzy socks and jackets. I just wish some of them fit me now cause I am freezing lol Glad I am not the only polar bear turned icicle around though. Have a great day folks!

I am also freezing! We have barely used the AC this summer and I go outside to warm up or use a blanket! lol
