New Group started- Journey with God

Several of you suggested a group be started to discuss our faith and this journey with God at the center of it. I just started the group and welcome you all to join. You can find it under General Lifestyle and the name is Journey with God. I am reading Made to Crave and sharing some of my thoughts and feel this is a great place to share them. Here are some quotes I saved last night to help myself when I struggling with NOT eating during my pre-op diet.

Whether we're on the path toward victory or defeat, it is determined by the very next choice we make. Not the choices from yesterday and not the choices from five minutes ago.

Compromise built upon compromise equals failure. Instead, resisting temptation allowed promise upon promise to be built up in our hearts and that creates empowerment.

It is good for Gods people to be put in a place of longing so they feel a slight desperation. Only then can we be empty and open enough to discover the holiness we were made for. When we are stuffed full of other things and never allow ourselves to be in a place of longing, we don't recognize the deeper spiritual battle going on.

We are made for the same home and power that raised Christ from the dead.
