Band to Sleeve surgery approved by insurance!

Ok so just a short two weeks ago I had my pshyc eval and was awaiting word from the doctor's office.
Got a call yesterday it was approved by insurance and we are going to set a date.
I have the scope procedure scheduled for this Thursday...can someone tell me at that point will he be able to see the scar tissue and stuff that he needs to see for the sleeve conversion???
I have had my band for 9 years and I am honestly looking forward to getting it removed!

I have had my band 6 yrs. It has slipped and will be removed this Monday. My doc requires 90 days before sleeve surgery to allow the stomach to completely heal. I will be interested in how yours goes. Good luck.

My band has slipped for the second time, first surgery was in 2007 and revision in 2009. So I found out for sure in December that band had slipped again. My original lap band surgeon has left town (without letting his patients know) so seeing a new doctor. Insurance denied me because of my lower BMI, new doctor has done a peer to peer review and I am in the process of following what the insurance wanted to see happen. Just finished my 3rd visit with dietitian and will see psychologist on Friday. I have only seen the bariatric surgeon once but she sounded like she would remove the band and to the VSG the same day.
