left shoulder pain, anyone????

hi everyone....was sleeved 07/23/13 and have been doing great until this Friday...after having dinner I got a sharp stabbing pain on my left upper abdomen and left shoulder. I walked for awhile thinking it was gas but pain didn't go away. Next morning, I got up and pain was gone I took a sip of water and the freaking pain came back. The pain last for about an hour but everytime I eat or drink anything the pain starts. I had my surgery in Mexico and spoke with my doctor today. She said it could possibly be gallstones which could happen with rapid weight loss. I'm going to see my regular doctor here in the states tomorrow, but just wondering if anyone has gone through this. Thanks.

I get left shoulder pain with eating sometimes. I have figured it out to be gas. Mine is not sharp just annoying. I see my MD on the 4th I'll let you know what they say. Check your temperature just to be safe because I've heard sometimes a leak can cause chest or shoulder pain. Best wishes.

thank you Bessie...Everything is ok except this horrible pain (it also includes chest) and it hits me very suddenly after ANYTHING I drink or eat...I'm scared of eating/drinking now I'll find out tomorrow

I was told that it could be a sign that you're full. But not sure why you'd be getting that if you're just getting a drink or food in and it starts right away. Have you called your doctor?
