1st Week Post Surgery and EXTREME Weakness and Fatigue

Has anyone experience extreme weakness a week out of surgery? While in the hospital my Blood Pressure and Blood Glucose got really high. The surgeon said it was due to the surgery. But it has been high all week. I went to my regular doctor yesterday becasue I was so week on monday and tuesday i literally fell down. I wonder if its signs of dehydration or starvation?
Would be nice to know if anyone else suffered with symptoms like these. I feel like my body is betraying me. I kmow its temporary and things will look up but right now its debilitatng. urgh!

I was extremely week also after surgery. My surgeon said that it is normal because we are taking in so few calories. I could barely get myself showered without falling down. Lots of rest and push the liquids and protein. I am now over three months out and feel amazing. My calorie intake is still low but I am working on it. I wish you luck and hope you get over this soon.

I was the same way at about 2 weeks post op. I figured it was dehydration and not enough calories. It gets better. Just drink as much as you can. I know you are trying and it's hard but when I finally started getting in enough liquids, I really turned the corner on my recovery. Good luck!! Hang in there!
