Day 10 post op .. Don't get gas, upset stomach or acid .. Everything does down fine???

I hear countless people complain how hard it is to eat. I am 10 days post op and never feel anything. I'm concerned. I've eaten chicken since day 4 it doesn't take much to fill me but cannot understand why I don't have issues. Other than my stitches sensitive I feel normal in every sense. I don't chew as much as I should and still no problems of indigestion or anything. Any ideas?

I am the same way. I think we just had a good surgeon. He explained to me the other day the way he shapes the stomach it cuts back on nausea and the complications that some people may have. I can eat no more than 4 oz usually and have never had a moment of problems. I count my self very lucky! I still have to remind myself to eat slower and chew more. If I don't it cuts down on the amount that I can eat. Otherwise it's all good!

Well I feel better that it happen to others too. I don't take any medicine not for pain or acid or anything just my vitamins

I have no problem eating, I can eat anything I want, from red meat to even pizza just in small portion, from pasta to even rice. I only have a month that I had surgery, I'm not trying to loose weight fast, but just slow n steady. The only problem I have is that I don't like the way I feel when I drink regular water with my empty stomach, now I need some flavor in it like crystal light n it's working good for me! I'm actually happy to be sleeved, up to my I think is the best decision ever made for my condition!!

We do have the same doctor, and did the samething which show how lucky we are to have him. He's an excellent surgeon, beside being also good looking!

you gals are very lucky!! I hope I do not have all the issues I see. I wouldn't worry about it, I would call it a smooth surgery and recovery!! You all are losing at a normal rate so good for you!!!

I agree he is an excellent surgeon and I have only heard great things about him.

Best of luck to you!! It will be just fine and don't forget to ask the nurse when you get to your room for some of the flavored sponges to hydrate your lips and mouth! They are a life saver!! Keep us posted!!
