Question 12 Days Post Op, Food Question AGAIN!

Hey there! My god... I'm struggling. This food thing sucks a BIG one!
I've been so depressed & hungry a good bit.. More or less craving though.
Well I've been able to keep eggs down & some tuna fish..
There was a lady on here that said she was eating that too about the same days out as me..
But I can't find her again on here
Anywho.. We have some chicken salad.. Made with the canned chicken.. Wondering if that'd be ok since I'm able to stomach tuna salad?
What are y'all or what did you eat at this stage?
Yes I have my guidelines, but I text my nutritionist before I try anything different & get the ok from her.
    I'd love some feedback! <3

Have you tried the protein shakes. I get the Body Fortress from Walmart. Chocolate/peanut butter is so good. I am not a big fan of strawberry, but that is good too. It has really helped my sweet tooth. I would be afraid only 12 days out to be eating food. But, I have not had the surgery yet so I don't know who I am going to feel.

    Hey Swet lady
I say try refried beans. They are nice & soft. Maybe some canned salmon. It is more similar to tuna than chicken is. I might even try perch, bass or catfish before I'd try chicken. I have plenty of recipes if you'd like.
Btw: you are doing great!!! I am so proud of you.

At 12 days out, I was eating soft food. Refried beans with enchilada sauce and cheese (like Taco Bells pinto & cheese) was one of my favorites. I also had chicken, fish, tuna, thin slices ham & turkey, mashed potatoes(not too often....CARBS) cheese cubes or sticks, baby bell or laughing cow works too. My surgeon basically said to go slow and listen to your body, if it doesn't sit well, back off of it for awhile. I also really enjoyed Tomato Basil soup, nice change from the sweet taste of protein shakes. The only things that were recommended not to eat yet were, Bread, pasta, rice, salad veggies that could be stringy. Hope this helps, good luck

I too was still on full liquids - protein shakes, milk, popsicles, soup etc. One thing that I added when I started soft foods was some avocado which was really yummy and felt like the first "fresh" thing I had eaten in forever. On soft foods I ate eggs, I tried tuna, but it didn't agree with me, I ate a lot of cheeses, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, american cheese, I even ate a little brie one day. I also ate refried beans. I ate crab meat. I made a version of crab stuffed mushrooms without breading which was good, but I could only really eat one at a time. Cream of crab soup was also yummy. There is a salad that I love, and I just now thought of it - so I didn't eat it at the time but I'm sure I could have and that that is an avocado and crab salad with a light vinaigrette. I know fresh crab is expensive, but for me I eat so little that I could but a small container and have a few meals from it.
