Update

I was doing so well on my new eating plan (I refuse to call it a diet, I hate that word! I have been hearing it since I was a child), any way, I was doing well until last night. I was working on some new jewelry pieces and the hungries hit. I had a healthy snack, something with crunch and a little sweet (Kind bar), but it wasn't enough. I couldn't get focused back on my craft and I ate a bowl of dry cereal and then a bagel, and a little Debbie's oatmeal snack cookie. I felt "full" after the bagel, but I kept on the binge. I really had a bad case of the guilts and it made me so sick to my stomach. I know it is about the journey, and I will have setbacks, but I promised myself that this time I would confess all my sins and be honest with my self and you all. I'll be doing a little more exercise this weekend to make up for this binge. Thanks for reading my rant!

That's a great idea to confess eating binges on here. Just get back on track. I had a 1/2 bowl of REAL oatmeal this morning with my daughter and about 4 fruit loops. Oh, and the iced top of some cherry bread. I'm just a guilty...

I'm on day 5 of my pre-op diet and I have had a slice of pizza and a soft pretzel with mustard. I swear carbs are like drugs/alcohol and are addicting. We are human and are not perfect. Brush it off and try again....

I can't remember who said this but I have often found it helpful.

"People say motivation doesn't last. Of course it doesn't! Neither does bathing. That is why we do it everyday."

I have tried to get into the mindset that if I have a weak day, it doesn't mean I'm doomed to failure. It just means that I have to find new motivation for the next day. That way, one binge doesn't turn into a 3 week bender the way it used to.

I'm the same way and I think this is why "diets don't work for me". This is the main reason why this surgery/ tool will help me when somthing like this hits again, We can't eat as much or as much (sugar) or it will make us sick. This is the tool I need because on one of those kinda days I can eat the frig and spit out the doors
