Increased body odor after sleeve

OK...I know this is gross but is anyone noticing increased body odor since having their sleeve? I am almost 4 months out and have started noticing underarm odor where I never had it before my sleeve. I wonder if it is old toxins that were stored in fat coming out.

I wonder if it is not just a change in hormones? That happened to me after I gave birth.

you know, i notice it now too....but i think it's because i am more active now and working out. i rarely broke a sweat before, now i do regularly.

I had the same problem at that time frame. It finally got better a few months later and I'm back to normal. Not sure what is the cause except for hormonal changes possibly.

Protein, i think it happens with all high protein diets. I remember the ATkins, i smelled raunchy

This is an interesting topic. I'm 6 weeks post-op and I've noticed the same thing the last couple of weeks. I thought maybe my deodorant wasn't working and I needed to buy a new one!

Well, I am glad to know I have stinky comrades and am not alone! LOL
I like to think it is all the nasty toxins that have been stored up for years in my fat and that my body is finally cleansing them out...just really weird...even on days I don't work out.

I am 5 weeks post op and have really noticed this too. I chalk it up to my new "super nose"! Ever since the surgery my already sensitive sniffer is 100X more sensitive. I've always been a "sweat-er" and have been super conscientious to not be stinky but after the surgery I had to re-double my efforts, whether it's due to really being stinkier or just being able to smell it better. I keep a travel size deodorant/antiperspirant in my purse and another in my car to freshen up if I need it, plus shower twice a day. Blech!

Omg! Yes I have noticed that and I am still experiencing that at almost 8 months out! I have switched deodorant and everything. Had no idea it could be toxins or a result of a high protein diet. Always learning something new!

I am three weeks out and I am experiencing this very thing. I was wondering why I had BO when I never really did before...patiently awaiting the day when this goes away.
