Default 12 days out... Ready for the scales to move :/

Haven't lost anything since surgery... and I'm almost two weeks out. How can I not be losing when I'm hardly eating anything? I guess my body thinks it's starving and refusing to let anything go. I got to start pudding, yogurt, soup and mashed potatoes yesterday so hopefully it will get back in the swing of things soon.

How long did it take before you started losing after surgery? Just trying not to let myself get discouraged.

I've been through the same thing and I know how frustrating it can be. But believe me when I say it will pass. Just think about the math. Your body has been through a lot and needs some time to get itself together again. Mine lasted for about exactly three weeks. If you are on "my fitness pal" it helps to keep tabs on what your getting in everyday. Be sure your working to get in all your protein and water as best you can. Water is my biggest prob. I sip sip sip but still only get about 40oz in a day, it's a never ending battle. Stay strong and focus on doing what you should, best of luck to you!

My experience is that it didn't start dropping till the 3rd week. Everybody is so different! For me it was hard not to get depressed when others seem to loose at a fast rate in those early weeks!!! Hang in there! Do what your Dr says and it will happen. I now realize more is changing in my body and in my mind and heart that what the scale can measure! As you feel up to it adding in more physical activity will help the process along. Know that you aren't alone do your best not to let the numbers on the scale get you down!

Relax, you have so much swelling in your body it takes time to heal that huge suture line in side, you just had a very major surgery just because it was laparoscopic and you don't see a large external incision it doesn't make it ny less, 80% removal it massive, don't worry the loss will happen but first take and do what you need todo to heal up,once recovery is under way the rest will follow suit

Did you do some pre surgery measurements? If you did take them again.......you might be surprised. If you didn't take them then do it now. This is another way of showing the way your body is changing even when the scale isn't going down. Keep your spirits up your weight loss is going to happen!
