Why aren't we suppose to have them?
I have them all the time after my surgery and havent had any issues
I was told that the carbonation takes up space. With your stomach being 1/3 the size, we don't have enough room. I also read that you can have flattened soda. I used to drink a lot of diet coke all day. It served as my caffeine throughout the day. I completely gave it up 13 days ago. I replaced it with lemonade crystal light and iced tea. It was a conscious decision and I have no regrets. I had a little diet coke from my husband's cup when we were out the other night. But I haven't had any regrets. It's for the best. I will be happier in the long run.
I was told absolutely NO!!! The bubbles will stretch out the new pouch. Not to mention, for some it can be extremely painful. Also, it's a psychological thing, even drinking diet soda. When the brain is craving sugar and you get a diet soda your brain knows the difference and knows it's not getting what it craves and consequently wants more and more. Thus stretching the pouch and then you're able to eat more and more. I was a 5-6 diet pepsi a day addict and it was incredibly hard to give them up. Especially since my entire family is big time soda drinkers. But I had to do it. I just found Koolaid water flavor and I LOVE it Oh and it's zero calorie and sugar free
I drink it, doesn't seem to do me any harm and my dr. Said the stretching theory is kind of ridiculous, that's why people burp lol.
I did quit for the first 6 months or so, and for me it never bothered me as far as pain or discomfort go. Also for some its a trigger, not for me.
I usually have 1.1.5 cans a day. I drink it half flat most of the time.
Negatives are I don't drink as much water as I should because I'm drinking this. I'm sure it's not good for me in a whole other way then weightloss, but then so are all the crystal lights/mios with the artificial sweetener.
I always think lol owing drs advice is best, so quit if ou can. For me it's just my last vice, good or bad lol.
