Default Day 6 and feeling very weak and dizzy

I am still on the clear liquid diet, so basically have been living on sugar free popsicles, jello, and broth. I am feeling so weak and dizzy from not eating. I am afraid to start my vitamins because I have had a tough time with nausea. Any advice???

Only thing I can say is, it gets better. I had Dr. Stowers as well and I started some of my vitamans on day 5 post op. If you can get the iron and B-12 in that might help, they both give you energy. Sorry about the nausea, I was fortunate to not have any. Did you get Zofran or Phenergan to help with nausea?

You can also get Vit B6 in a liquid form, this is what the OB doctors give our OB patients for nausea.

Are you still getting in your protein shakes, or did your doctor say you could not have those either? Protein is critical for healing of the body!

When I was on clear liquids I felt better with Gatorade. You need sugars & salt (e.g. electrolytes) and right now you're not getting any. Without, it's hard to stay hydrated which leads to dizziness and other ickiness. I felt better if I had some every day - and no, I wouldn't worry about the sugar free kind!

I didn't start vitamins until I could do shakes as they make me feel ill on an empty stomach.
