Cleveland Clinic ?

Hi Kevin. Did you have your surgery at Cleveland clinic? If so, which one? I think my insurance is going to turn me down so have started looking at self pay options -- so far $28,000 in NYC and $21,000 at Cleveland Clinic in Florida. If you did Cleveland clinic, how was it? Tx

I had a sleeve gastrectomy at the Cleveland Clinic "main campus" in Cleveland. The Cleveland Clinic is great! I live about 3 hours away, but its definitely worth the trip. I would guess they run their Florida facility to the same standard; on the other hand, their main campus is amazing.

I drove, and the surgeon had me stay in Cleveland for 1 week because I lived more than two hours away. Traveling is kind of tough right after surgery, so you might want to favor a close facility all things being equal.

Thanks so much for responding. I am glad to hear that you are happy. I live about 20 minutes from the Florida facility and have someone who can drive me so should be ok travel wise. This is an interesting journey... I am anxious to get on with it!
