well I have completed my three month prep, my records are all at the docs aaaaannnddd now we wait. Come on aetna....momma needs an approval! The anxiety of waiting is making me wanna eat. Go figure.

Congrats on getting all the I's dotted and t's crossed.
If I recall correctly, my Aetna approval took about 2 to 3 weeks. Hang in there, go for a walk or drink something yummy instead - herbal tea, glass of wine, gin and tonic - all great choices.

My doc's office called me on Monday to say they received the approved auth. It didn't take as long as I thought it would. Hope you hear something sooner then 3 weeks.

3 weeks? Hmmm...I can either become super morbidly obese in that time...or drink enough gin and tonic to check into rehab. Yikes. I wonder if aetna will deny me if i start stalking them via telephone.

I have Aetna also, and I'm worried I will be denied when the time comes. I'm in my second month of the 3 month program that Aetna requires. I'm a nervous wreck just going through the program. I'm obsessed with getting the ball rolling, and I'm this close to just going to Mexico. Trying to be patient, but I fear I will be denied and I would have wasted months when I could already be sleeved.

just be patient, most of us had to do 7 plus months from beginning to the end, so the 3 mos is a breeze. the average time is 9 months from your first seminar to the insurance request . so be still it will come. your time is almost there. Good vibes sent your way ...

I'm doing my best to be patient. Thanks for the good vibes. I have my visit with the psych, nut, and exercise person on Wed. What kind of questions did the psych ask?

They didnt ask me anything. I just answered a question sheet and went over the results with her. Nothing major.

I'm waiting too! I try so hard not to think about it. When it pops into my mind I say lalalalala! Then I run around and do housework. Not fun, but effective. Here's to hoping we hear soon. Ahhhhh!
