I'm from Arkansas, so that part is obvious. The "Belle"? That's for several reasons...

1. I love "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast because she sees the inner beauty of people, which I hope I do for others and others do of me. Also, she was smart, marched to the beat of her own drum, and humble.

2. I'm from the south...southern belle was already taken.

3. My mother's maiden name was Bell, so it's a family name.

4. My daughter, Emmee Belle, goes by Belle. I hope that my sleeve/health/happiness journey somehow helps her to become a confident, healthy, and loving young woman. Weight issues were such a struggle for me...I hope that I can be a good role model for her. She's only 6, but life lessons come hard and early now days!

[Minnie Mouse]

I've always loved how cheerful Minnie Mouse is with her sing songy high-pitched voice. It reminds me of my Mom's happy disposition. When she was dying, I went to visit her in 2000. I had bought a big Minnie Mouse doll, and she wanted one too, so I had my sister go get her one. I have a picture of her holding Minnie Mouse over my bed. It reminds me of a happy time when everyone will never be sick or die. LOL

I have long ago accepted the dangers of pretending I can be my ordinary
stinky, offending self by attempting to be anonymous. Many people just
want to deny the fact that there is no real anonymity on the internet.
So I use mike_mcginn as my username. Helps keep me honest, and from
shooting off my big mouth even more than I do. I tried on Fla Law Guy and
Legal Eagle at first, but it sounded too CBish for me.
As I get older I have enough problems remembering what I am supposed to
do next without have to complicate things by having to remember who I am
pretending to be.

Well, I like to write poetry (when I get inspired) and most of the time it is dark/ish as it has almost always been. So I figure I will be forever dark (plus, EAP was a rather dark poet and he is one of my two idols and he too will always be forever dark!)

I use to work summers in south east alaska a few years back (10). One of the big cruise ships would stay the night on Wednesdays. So after a few Wednesday nights we started to know some of the crew pretty well. This one girl in particular was nice but boy could that english girl drink!!! So I made a random remark and called her "DrunkSpice" and from that comment the rest of us were compelled to come up with our own spice girl name. We had bitterspice, she had just broken up with her boyfriend and there was tokerspice, self explanatory and I came up with GoofySpice for my spicegirl name
