My doctor wants me to do a 2 week pre op. All his patients are required to do this, does not matter the BMI. I guess each doctor is different.
He said it is to shrink the liver and help get rid of any fatty tissue around the stomach, which makes it easier to perform the surgery. I am all for anything that makes the surgery easier.
I just keep thinking this will get me ready for whats to come after surgery. Got to keep thinking positive.

I was told 1200 calories, nothing special just did not want me to gain any weight before surgyer (or lose for that matter). I had the day before cleanse and that was it... It's just like some doc's put in drain tubes, some put in stitches that need removed - I had neither of those either - Love love love my doc and how he does business

Mine was 3 days, I did 5. My BMI was 38
