Default I need some advice about my caloric intake

Ok I need help. I was sleeved 4/30/13 and I'm on puréed foods. I find it so hard to get all my nutrients in. I was in the hospital for dehydration Thursday. Today I had less than 300 calories. I'm trying to eat the 5 small meals in my diet plan, the 2 calcium tablets, 3 multivitamins and the 40-60 grams of protein shakes. It's too much for my small tummy. Getting in my water is hard too. I need help and advice. I eat a little and stay full for hours. I don't want to end up like the other people sick with malnutrition. The tingling sensation I had from my diabetes returned today. I was taken off my metformin and my blood sugar was fine the 1st week of surgery. I'm worrying and feeling like did I make the right choice. I'm so close to my goal weight. It's so bad I was wishing I can get back my stomach lol. Please help.

Are you eating 5 small meals and protein shakes? That does seem like a lot just 2 weeks out, I was on full liquids for two weeks and couldn't get all my water in. I would just focus on water and proteins, as you begin to heal you will be able to get more liquids in. I can get my meals in and drink more than 64oz of water a day.

Generally at your stage you want to focus on protein and water intake. But, if you're not feeling well you should visit your doctor or a nutritionist. Good luck

2 weeks out I was eating nothing and drinking only protein shakes and water. I didnt even worry about solid foods or even mushy foods until I started feeling more normal. Good luck with everything and I hope you do ask your doctor about this! They will know much more then us!

I dont bother with the protein shakes, they are too heavy. GREEK yogart is awsome each little 3.50z cup contains around 10 g protein. If you eat two or three a day, your good. Also buy some powdered milk instead of protein shakes, its easier on the belly. I put it in cream of wheat, grits, potato soup.
64 oz of water, is really an unrealistic goal to me. You get liquids from, tea, coffee, water, ice, popsicles. Just sip what you like all day, and you will get your liquid. If your bottom lip starts to get dry, you know you are not drinking enough. Good luck.

Focus on the protein(powder and liquid at this point) and getting your fluids in. The food part is just over and beyond if you can. It was loosen up as the days go on. Good luck.
