Default My Check List for Mexico

Well folks, I'm getting ready for the long haul Monday. Busy packing my suitcase. This is what I'm bringing:
2 everyday dresses that I frequently wear
4 capri fleece outfits in different colors (danskin)
(I specifically brought them for my surgery)
    2 capri night pajama sets
    1 light robe or housecoat
    1 pair of slippers
I'm wearing my Summer sandals down I don't want anything unnecessary in my suitcase due to space limitations
    toothpaste, brush, hairbrush, hair ties
I'm bringing make-up & nail polish (I may make myself up when I feel up to it
if I don't I won't. I don't know anyone down there so if they're never going to see me again I don't care! LOL!)
1 mini chopper, 1 mini shake mixer, 1 mini hand mixer
2 plastic bowls, a shake carrier, 2 spoons
3 kinds of protein powder & powdered milk (in small containers)
    chicken soup broth cubes
Right next to my hotel is a supermarket, retail mall with GNC, movie theater.
However right after surgery I may be too weak to walk & stand for long intervals so I may not venture out too early. At least I'll have the basics with me and I may make a trip to the supermarket the day of my pre-ops on the 28th.
The hotel has told me I can upgrade to a kitchenette with stove & mini fridge but I may not do that till after I come back from surgery.
I'll be there for 12 days so I guess at one point I may get hungry and back on my feet. At which point I'll get soups and throw fruit in the blender with my shakes but I know that won't happen for several days.
My hotel also has a laundry matt and I'll bring books with me to read so I don't get bored. Did I leave anything out? Lorna

Oh yes, I almost forgot. I brought a bottle of children's fruit flavored liquid vitamins. They're from Germany. They cost me twenty bucks. When I come home I'll make a trip to the health food store and get the adults, as well as the B essentials. Right now it'll be too much to think about till I get back. But I do know about the vitamin B deficiency that occurs with the sleeve.
I have to take them twice a day according to the directions for 12 and older.
Remember me I'm the one who can't stand the taste of adult vitamins. Really I can't get them down. I gag on them because I don't like the taste.
When I get back someone can recommend me some decent ones. LOL!

It may be worth asking the hotel if they do a grocery shop service or prior to surgery go to the store and arrange for a telephone delivery service post op.

The shakes did not sit well with me after surgery. I stuck to apple juice diluted with some water and it took all day to sip it down.

So it may be good if things you assume will work out for you now, upset you post op, that you have some way of getting other things brought to you.

    Good luck with your surgery.

    WOW, you sound all organised!
I took a pair of thongs and a tooth brush!
Main thing for me, it was a little hard to bend and you are not allowed to carry anything heavy.

    Good luck
