Im getting mixed answers on this. Im 3 days post surgery and thought i read that you can mix some banana's or strawberries or fresh pineapple to your protein drinks. Is this possible this soon after surgery?
I did not start adding anything to my protein shakes until I moved into "soft foods". So about 6 weeks post op.
Heaviest: 387 pounds (1999)
Weight last appointment prior to surgery: 265 (6/29/12)
Weight beginning of two-week full liquid/high protein diet: 265 (7/25/12)
Weight day of surgery (8/8/12): 253.2
ONEDERLAND: 12/10/12: 198
100 pounds lost 7/3/13
Reached goal weight of 160 pounds on 9/9/13 (1 year, 1 month, and 1 day post-op)
when i was still in the hospital they offered to mix my first protein shake with any seedless berry or banana they also offered to make it with almond milk, soy milk or water .. because the milks will give extra protein and vitamins .. however i am 10 days post op and still take it with water since its so hard for me to actually intake anything. but there are alot of sleevers i know that started on egg whites and oatmeal on there 7th day post op .. i think everyones different im not intaking anything close to what i should i have a very sensitive tummy i think its more what you and your new tummy can handle more then it is a time period. Hope this helps a lil.
