I am a Newbie !

Good Day all, I am posting my 1st Thread ever !
With 2 years searching and reviewing I have decided I am now
ready to go ahead with my surgery and I am hoping to
work with Dr Liza Maria Pompa Gonzalez in Mexico.
I am living in Australia and I will be flying alone to Mexico.
I dont have a date just yet, but I cant tell you enough
about how excited I am to be getting ME back.
The reason I am doing this surgery is not too look good, but to feel good.
To have that feeling where I can be the me I used to be.
To have that play time with my 2 children and my husband
I am very much looking forward to bringing the happy meaning of Life back.
I would love to chat with anyone who has done this and of course answer my MILLION
Questions !! You have all been the Newbie I guess !

I have had the lapband for 3 years and recently converted to the sleeve. Don't wait till your surgery date or "til monday" You can start making changes today. That will just put you one more day closer to goal. For me the food choices are what bring about the most weight loss. Activity adds to it but also gives you some positive mental benefits.

Thank you ladies Well, why Mexico? well my health insurance wont cover me so I have to pay myself, Mexico is of course cheaper so this would have to be my option as I dont want to wait another few years to save up for Australia. I am from Ireland myself ! Moved to Australia almost 2 years now, so life got in the way of my surgery but I am in a place now where I feel its time. I did visit a Clinic here in Qld asked all my questions but for financial reasons I cant do it here. I have been searching Mexico for Months ! Finally found Dr Pompa and I feel she would be the best for me. what about you Jen? are you doing it in Australia? and are you paying or your Insurance? Lots of questions !

I'm a newbie too! I just got my schedule to have my sleeve on July 8th! So excited but scared at the same time! I'm having mine done in Mexico too, Tijuana, with Dr. Garcia at Florence Hospital...super excited to get the new me here Can't wait to see what is in store and for the much improved health it will bring

Welcome! You came to the right place for information and support! Truebody is correct...I don't have to start the pre-op diet until May 15th but started it earlier so it wouldn't be so rough. I've already lost a few pounds.
