This is my first post! I have enjoyed reading what everyone is saying for several days now and I have contemplated what I could contribute. I am not sleeved yet. Actually, I go to tomorrow for my final pre-op class and then I can see my doctor to set a surgery date.(Sometime after school is out. I am a Curriculum Specialist for our local school district.) I am excited/nervous....This seems to be the general consensus for most posts I have read! My main concern is like most of yours: Can I really do this successfully? I have lost 23 pounds so far on my own. YAY! I want to lose 80 more. So glad there is a community like this one where I can visit with other people like me! Have a blessed evening!

Hi and welcome. Sounds like your off to a good start. I am yet to be sleeved but have taken the slow route to establish my new healthy lifestyle. I have lost 40 pounds and have about 50 pounds to go. Will get my surgery date soon. Good luck with your journey
