I am almost 10 months out. My tolerance is not *quite* as high as it once was, and I still get drunk pretty easily. I drink about 1 time per month. Every time I drink, I am starving for junk food the whole next day. I usually gain a pound or two every time I drink - hence why I don't do it often. I think a lot of it is dehydration and it usually comes off in the next day or two, but nonetheless, it's not really worth it. Not that I don't do it, because I LOVE the rare nights out that I get with to spend with friends and a few drinks, but there are consequences, of course :-)
I'm nearly two years out and my biggest problem with drinking is being unable to eat before/after. I have on occasion had too much to drink (which since being sleeved is like anything more than one drink haha) and in normal circumstances would eat something to help absorb the alcohol. Except after a drink, I cannot eat without feeling bloated and sick. So it is lose lose. Now I just limit myself. It has been months since my last drink (on Halloween when I had too much and got sick haha). But if you do it in moderation, you should be fine.

There's only one thing that I know how to do well and I've often been told that you only can do what you know how to do well and that's be you. Be what you're like. Be like yourself.

I was cleared for occasional alcohol when I hit the regular food stage. NUT recommended to keep it only occasional mostly due to the empty calories . . . and as I've found I make very poor choices after drinking!
Because we're eating so few calories you feel the effect MUCH faster. It takes me much longer to drink a glass of wine than it used too and I feel the alcohol after just a few sips. I find I don't want it as much as I used too - something i never thought I'd say about wine.
My medical group says no alcohol after surgery ever, for the rest of our lives.
In practice, I've had a few glasses of wine. White works, red does not. Red wines really make my stomach hurt. One small glass of white seems to be ok, but more than that and it gets uncomfortable.
While I greatly desire to have a beer, I've tried some sparkling wine and the carbonation was unbearable.
