No-one to play with!!!

Yeah I know it sounds funny, but I am serious about this. A couple of years ago, I was almost injury free and was doing WW and became a Gym Junkie, I mean I loved it and went almost everyday.I learnt all about "The Burn" and I outwalked the timer on the treadmills.Anyway, you get the picture.I would drive home, music pumping, feeling so great and energised and happy.I would be welcomed home in the driveway by my kidlets and their friends, walk in and there it was, So called "Partner in LIFE" on the lounge watching dvds or documentaries he had previously taped.More like Partner in lounge lizardingness. My excitement would go pfft, my energy would turn into anger and my happiness, well, don't even go there.Enough already? you get the picture.Well what I am getting too is that after the Op, even though I have an injury, I know I am going to have better energy, more motivation, and generally be more excited about life in general, and I am afraid I will have no-one to play with again.
This might sound funny but I can tell you, it gets Very depressing and sometimes downright bloody lonely.Sure I love being with the kids outside and the dogs, and the horse etc,just would like a partner in crime so to speak.
I think I better shut up now before you all delete me from your friends list and block me from posting..
Does anyone else feel like this? It is making me less excited about it all.

Hi Sandy, well you will be a lot healthier and active, you can go out and find another soulmate to be your partner in crime. There are plenty of fish out there, just bait your hook and put yourself out there and socialize. There are so many things you can do to meet people, I think you will probably not have a problem to hook up with a new partner and spend your time together and be happy.

Ah Sandy
I'm in a similar boat, although no partner here.
I am looking forward to leading a much more active life soon, a few of my friends and I are off to our first Zumba class next week, should be a huge laugh, especially as my hipps feel as though they are set in concrete, it will help me get rid of this weight sooner rather than later.
You know I just want in my life simple things, like someone to share things with, do stuff together, travel, you know blah blah blah. My kids are adults I've been a widow for years and now at 51 I want someone for me, and it will happen.
I did this sleeve for me, not for anyone else, its bloody hard work but we will all get there in the end.
There I can ramble on too.

Sorry for your loss, that is so young.
I am like you in the way that I don't want for material things, just time, company,like someone to be motivated away from the bloody lounge for once. I know I am going to feel fantastic and free when I lose my weight, and want to know as I said, will I have "someone to play with".

Hi Sandy,
well I can tell you this, your life will change you can be guaranteed of that and you have that to look forward to.
Many people told me this same thing, and i would say to my self, but you do not know me, I am a bit shy and well, I might be thinner but still where I am today. NOT TRUE, it is amazing how a person will change, even if we are not "spring chickens"!
I can not impress on you enough of how this happens. i think when we loose weight, there is that physical thing, that's great, then there is this mental state that in me has pushed me in directions that I never considered because I was never in that mental state, then once that happens, more things come into your life and now you are thinking and acting at a level that you would not know about in your present state of mind because you are not there yet, but it is coming!
I say this from experience, I am now questing things in my life that I had come to except. It is true for me that children are important to us and in my life number 1, where we sacrifice our love life for our children, I think this is so true for allot of people.
I am looking forward to what life has to offer me, even though i am not 20, I feel "new" and looking forward to new and exciting things to come.
