Dumping Syndrome???

Can you experience dumping syndrome with the sleeve? I was told it only happens when you have gastric bypass.

It's basically a for sure with bypass, but it can still happen with the sleeve. Most people don't have the issue though. We tend to get the slimies, which is where you eat too much, too fast, or something that your stomach doesn't like and then you start burping a lot and sometimes it's moist. I have had the burps, but I never had anything come up and I have never thrown up.

I have some "dumping" symptoms if I eat sugar. I've only experienced the "slimies" once.

It does happen for some but not all. Never had the slimies, but BAD burping and heartburn when I eat carbs!!!

Myself, I have only had the burping, but nothing has ever come up.

I have the burps a lot, and have had food come back up several times. Sometimes it is due to overeating or eating too fast, and sometimes it just comes up for no apparent reason.

I have struggled with Dumping Syndrome. Surgeon says this occurs with any surgery that involves removal of part of the stomach. I had the slimies really bad the first week of my surgery, then it went away, thankfully.
