    Hi Christine:
Thanks for taking the time to post, congratulations on your surgery! I haven't heard about the 5 day pouch test, I'll ask my doctor about it. I am sort of "re-grouping" and going back to what I know will work for me. I also have to remind myself that this isn't really a "diet" per se, but a lifestyle I am trying to cultivate along with life-long good habits! Thanks again and I look forward to seeing your success.

    Hi Susie!

I was hoping to see you yesterday at the walk downtown! Anna said you have attended them in the past. I asked Dr. Peterson about the 5 day-pouch test (at my appointment in February) and he was kind of ambivalent about it...lol I don't think he really "likes" it or encourages the use of it...but who knows it may vary by patient.

Are you going to the monthly meeting Wednesday?

Hi...I was wondering myself if you were going to that walk this past weekend. I am going to try and make the meeting on Wednesday, but I am unsure as it will depend upon if my husband will be home to watch our daughter. He is a teacher and sometimes has meetings after work. On top of that, we live 35 miles out of SA (in Bulverde), so it takes a while for him to get home. But again, I will let you know. I almost didn't recognize you in your new sexy picture!!! You look like you are on top of the world...I am very happy and proud for you. You radiate happiness, confidence, and pride. Bet it doesn't hurt the relationship with the bf either!!! Kudo's to you and I am giving you a standing ovation!!! Hope to see you soon.

Load your personal tool box back up with the things that will get you back on track
    - Support - this site, your local meetings
    - Dishes you eat with - buy small ones and stick to using them
    - Food scale - keep it on your counter and use it to weigh your food
    - Now your mental challenges really kick in but your tool/stomach isn't fighting you with capacity anymore
    - I weigh myself every single day - I give myself +/- 3lb of my avg weight. I can control what I eat to get 3lb off pretty easy and I don't get depressed if it doesn't drop - I use it to keep it from ever going back up - EVER again.

I'm horrible about exercise, but when I go and do something that takes all day I can over the next couple days see two pounds come off, so why don't I exercise - cause I hate it, I can't stay committed to it, so I know I have to control my portions & food choices even more. Protein is still 80-90% of my diet, I do add sauces and things to make it taste good, but I have totally (99%), cut out breads & pasta's and I really don't miss them at all.

I wish you all the best at getting back on track, staying focused and get back into the good habits you're looking for - YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

    Lifetime rules
Weigh myself daily - to keep thescale from going back up!!
    Use food scale
    Use smaller dishes

Thanks Susie! I have to admit just when I think life could not get any better I do something or achieve something that proves to me it can get even better! This surgery has improved everything from A-Z in my life!

I hope you can make it to the meeting...but understand if it's not possible! Keep in touch Susie!

I see many of you recommend small plates. This may be a stupid question...but does anyone use the baby spoon or fork? Any suggestions as to what kind of food scales to get?
