All I have left is nutrition before I am set to send paperwork in for approval from insurance. But I did find out that the insurance is covering the sleeve now and I shouldnt have a single trouble getting it covered. After almost a year of fighting to get everything done I am down to the last thing and I am nervous. I am just thankful I have my wife that is supportive of me and getting this done... Anyone have any ideas what I am looking forward to with the nutritionist and how long after that I can expect to get a surgery date?

I think it all depends on what your insurance requires. Mine requires me to go to a class once a week for 12 weeks and it it tought by a nutritionist. She is teaching us what we should eat. I mean i didnt know a pea has starch. So i have to do that first. If yours it just a one time sit down you might just go over what you normally eat and she helps you out. I had a friend that had a one time sit down and then they told her they had a spot next week for surgery! So it could be really soon. Talk to your insurance and see what the next step is.

It really depends on what your insurance requires as well as your surgeon. For instance, my insurance required a 3 month doctor supervised diet, and my surgeon required a pre-op education class. So, I ended up seeing the dietician 4 times over a three month period. If you have already done the diet part, then it's likely that your visit with the nutritionist will be an educational visit, teaching you how and what to eat both pre and post-op.
As for insurance submission, it depends on the insurance. My paperwork was submitted to insurance last wednesday, and I got my insurance clearance yesterday. It was very fast. From what I have heard, expect a 1-2 week wait before finding out about approval.

Well... I did the nutritionist and now I am waiting on the clearance from the insurance. Gonna give them till next week and then I am going to call them. Crossing my fingers and hoping to get approval soon so that I can get this on the road.. One thing that the nutritionist did tell me is that when insurance clears me and they call to set the date then she wants me to start drinking full liquids from that day if it is within like 10 days. is that normal? Oh and was told that I DO NOT have a fatty liver so I should be thankful

Congrats! Sounds like it won't be long now!
My surgeon's office has nearly everyone do a two week long liquid diet, so it would not be unusual to have to be on full liquids for ten days.
