!4 day diet

I am on the 14 day liquid diet and doing ok so far, but i try not to go around anyone eatting or cooking .This is hard for me I am 247.7 pounds and just lost 1 pound. I keep thinking in my head just think of happy i'll be when i am able to chase my grand son and not be so tired. Ca anyone help me as far as how they did on day 2 thanks margo-620

hang in there Margo, no pain no gain and we have to start learning control before surgery or I believe we are in deep ka-ka afterward. Everything I have read here and other places say how hard it is post-op. You are beginning to make changes that are affecting the NEW YOU. We can do it, we have to for the sake of our new lives. its like with addiction, ONE DAY AT A TIME. IF YOU LOOK AT IT THAT WAY, IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE, I PROMISE

Hi Margo!

I'm a pre-sleever, and it isn't time for me to start the liquid diet yet. But - I imagine it's going to be hard, from what I've read on this forum. I've already been trying to get myself mentally prepared. My plan is to keep my eye on the prize. Even though 14 days seems like a lot, in the big picture it's just a smidgen of time... a small price to pay for the grand rewards in store for us. Think about it... think about all the terrible, horrible, soul-sucking diets we have all been on. If you're like me, you've probably tried at least 10 different diets. What's a few days on a liquid diet? You are strong and in control!!!! You've got this in the bag! And we are all behind you.

(Someone please copy and paste this to me when I start my liquid diet. lmao)

Just keep a positive attitude. I didn't have to do the liquid diet. I was on a high protein, low carb diet before surgery. It's all up to the individual surgeons. I can't imagine doing that before the surgery.

I feel your pain... I am on day 3 of the LIQUID DIET....UGH....

I had my surgery on Monday and right now they are telling me that I can have cream of wheat, jello, sugar free pudding, water, etc. It's just been very hard seeing my kids and my husband eating and I can't. There are certain things that I am craving right now but it's will power and I am having trouble with that.

I'm 3 1/2 wks post op and still on liquid diet. I had to do a week of liquid diet prior to surgery. It was the hardest part. I was not perfect, a couple of nights I broke down and had some baked chicken, but still no carbs or alcohol. Keep thinking of the gold at the end of the rainbow, and even bigger than that, I kept thinking of my liver shrinking decreasing risks of surgery. Once I had the surgery, I had family at my house and even cooked for them and the cravings were definitely less.
