Has anyone lost too much weight?

Hello! I'm a 52 year old, grumpy, menopausal woman considering a sleeve. I have almost talked myself into it but have one concern my husband and I both haven't quite gotten a handle on.....has anyone lost too much weight? Prior to gaining the weight, I had borderline LOW blood sugar issues. I am concerned about losing too much and gettin myself in trouble with it. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Wow, I would love to have that problem (losing too much weight)... I certainly know how to put on the pounds... ;-)

This isn't an issue that happens very much as the person involved has a lot of control, i.e. small amounts of concentrated calories such as peanut butter when getting to goal weight, etc. The sleeve isn't something that "happens" to you. You work WITH it.

My doc said if that happens to just up your calories - either bigger portions or add higher calorie foods until you get the balance right. One sleeved guy I know wanted to gain back 10 pounds, so he upped his daily calorie intake with no problem.

Ive researched this so much. Its pretty rare anyone loses too much. Reason is because about a year after surgery your stomach will be stretched and you will eat almost as any normal person would. Most of us struggle to get the weight off prior to that one year mark because its really hard to lose after it stretches and you began to eat more.. The last concern you should have is losing too much..

Thank you all for your quick replies. I feel much better about it now. I'm pretty sure I have made up my mind to do it now and am looking forward to beginning the process. I know it will be a long journey but it will be worth it when I reach my goal of no longer have to use a mounting block to get on my horses!!
