If you are taking multivitamins with iron or plan to, make sure your doctor approves it first. An over consumption of iron is not good, as the body tends to hold on to extra iron. This in the long run can lead to diabetes or liver damage.

My doctor has me taking an iron supplement plus a multivitamin but we do periodic blood workups. Everything coming back normal. Good idea to have it checked often especially the first 6 months when we are not eating much.
Sure, but isn't that true for any supplement? With over the counter supplements and a barrage of good intentions outlining how you might have a bit of this and less of that to make you fell better, we'd all be well advised to follow the suggestions of our WLS medical team with a broad spectrum multi-vite as a starting point.
