Getting heaps of annoying emails from forum

I am suddenly getting heaps of messages from the forums, and like multiple per hour and its extremely annoying. Why is this happening. I don't want email messages from the forum and I believe I have shut it all down but its still happening. I just want to use the forum notifications for anything I need to know, not loads of spam in my in box.

At this rate I am going to have to leave the forum to make it stop so what do I do?

Has something gone wrong with the site?

They are clearly having issues with the server- There has been a problem with email notifications for weeks now and seems perhaps they are trying to fix it- though I wish someone from their IT department could have sent out a little post to let everyone know what's going on. It would have been thoughtful at least. I had almost 300 messages this morning!

I set a filter up on my email this morning when I woke to 99+ emails in my inbox...

I'm glad I looked at this thread because I was logging on to delete my account due to all the emails I got this morning. I hope they get this figured out soon!!

Me too. Annoying doesn't come close......

Unfortunately, deleting your account will not prevent the emails from coming- they are back emails. They will continue to arrive whether you have a current account on the forum or not. Seems like we just have to wait it out- but I am going to send a pointed email to the webmaster.
