New kid feeling awkward. .

Hello WLS web people. I have never been very big on discussion forums, but I am quite a bit nervous & don't know anyone who has been through this. I have surgery coming up in a few weeks & I would love to hear some inspiration. I am worried about proper nutrition afterward. I am just worried it will be a struggle to stay healthy when I am doing this to get healthy. I want to be adding good healthy energetic years to my life. Also concerned about hair loss. Thanks for hearing me out. :-)

Hi! This was the best thing I could have done for myself, it will be the same for you. You will make it thru just stick to what your doctor says and your NUT. I was worried about hair also. My nurse told me in pre op class that you can take Biotin up to 5000 mg daily and it helps your hair. I started 1 week before surgery taking 1000 mg dissolving twice a day. I have less hair falling out now then before and it is helping my nails. Ask your doctors office if you can take that. Also make sure you get your protein daily. Hope this helps.
