I am 3 weeks post op and forgot to ask when I'm supposed to start taking a chewable multi-vitamin. I tried to start last weekend. But everytime I chewed one up (twice a day) I would vomit it up. Is it too soon or should I try a liquid vitamin?
I started flintstones 1 week after surgery. Actually two of them a day.

How about just swallowing a regular old multivitamin? I never took chewable vitamins and have taken my bp meds, etc whole since day 2.
I also take 2 flintstones a day and I started day 4.
Was told to start mine 2 weeks post op. I take an Opurity Bypass-Sleeve Optimized chewable. Not too bad.
Just curious -- did you take it on an empty stomach? Pre-surgery taking multivitamins specifically on an empty stomach never bothered me, but now if I do, LOOK OUT! Calcium, B supplement, D supplement etc do not bother my empty stomach, but multivitamins are awful. I get awful nausea and, while I haven't actually thrown up, one time I did get dry heaves. I remedy this by now only taking a multi after I've eaten a meal. Chewables/liquid should be perfectly fine immediately post op, but if you have been taking them on an empty stomach, I would suggest taking them after you've eaten a meal and seeing if that helps.
