    Default It's Been a while

It has been a while, I had surgery 09/19/2012. I started at 281 May 2012, day of surgery 259, today 224 I am so disappointed talkig about slow looser. I was in a size 22-25 now size 16. I feel like i am stuck the scale is not moving. I have started a excercise program so i'm hoping that it will do the trick. I had a few set backs, I had to have another surgery in November (not related to sleeve), so I was unable to excercise. Doing much better just want to get the loosing part started again, I don't want to feel like I did this for nothing.
    Need some encouragement.

    Fran

I am exactly the same! Must be curse of Fran . I had surgery 9/28 20 weeks ago & have lost 15kg since day of surgery, that's about 26lbs. That said it is 26lbs more than I lost on weight watchers.

My GP physician seems happy and says 1lb a week is ok. I'm not "dieting" but trying to eat in a way that I will eat for the rest of my life. I am frustrated that my weight loss is slow (even glacial) compared to others, but it is going in the right direction, just like you.

I keep joking only another 100lbs to loose (by tomorrow). Realistically, I think it's going to take me about 18 months to 2 years to get to my goal weight, but if I am just eating when I want to eat, not over thinking it, then long term I will get there, it will just take me a while longer.

This is not a race, we all get where we are going at our own pace. Maybe more people than we realise have the same problem, we just don't talk (or blog) about it. Thank you x

I just wanted you to know, you are not alone x

It's ok to be sad, frustrated & angry, I feel all of these at different times. We expected something other than what we have gotten.

Surgery makes you retain water among other things so don't beat yourself up, if you want to try and break a stall or slow time, try a few days of just protein and lots of water and see if that doesn't get things moving...
Hang in there, you are right, this is a complete lifestyle change, not just a diet...

    Hi Fran
From what I just calculated....you are 1/3 of the way to you goal. I have been moving quite slowly as well compared to others. But I am still moving. And even when the scale isn't moving....my body is changing. I just came out of a 4 week stall and the non stall had only lasted about 4 days and the previous stall to that was 4 weeks. I am not looking forward to the next stall. It messes with my head.

Something positive to think about: If the weight comes off slower....your skin won't get as saggy. You might not need plastics.

I love your new picture...you are looking fabulous.....Hugs Judy

Congulations! I am in my first week and I am sore, but not painful. Now I am trying to figure out how to take care of me, thebest things to eat, how much rest, etc. Any advice any one? Thanks, Eleanor Rose
