How long were you out of work?

I'm an OR Nurse and I was out of work for a little over 3 weeks and then came back on Light Duty. I'm lucky that I work with the Surgeon that did my surgery and everyone knows that I have to stay hydrated and eat every couple hours!

I was going to go back in a few days after surgery, tried to do that, and just couldn't do it, took off another few days, and with the Holidays at Christmas, was able to make it fine. I would not do it that way again. I would take off 2-3 weeks. I was very tired, and sort of dehydrated and nauseseous. I work sitting at a computer, but have a lot of meetings, etc., and it was evident to everyone I felt bad. I am older though, 60, and I feel that was part of it. I have a lot more eneergy now and feel ok most of the time.
