My skin on my stomach is burned due to the surgical tape used post surgery. Did any one else have this issue? If so, can you give advise on what you did to improve the condition and burning of your skin?

I had a really bad allergic reaction! Mine was to the cleaning solution they used because my rash dripped past where the surgical tape was. I took children's liquid Benadryl and used cortaid cream for over a week. It took a long time for mine to go away, it was basically a chemical burn. I used Benadryl cream once I stopped taking the liquid. Get control of it before it gets worse. Good luck.
Use Aquaphor, you can buy it at the drugs store...a lot like Vaseline consistency...it is what we use for our plastic surgery patients when they have surgical tape issues in my practice
I had to go on prednisone and use betamethasone cream, it was nasty. I'm a bit concerned when I go for the tummy tuck 'cause there is a ton more stitches!
I had an allergic reaction as well to the glue that was used but doesnt' sound as bad as yours, I didn't do anything.
Yes, I too am allergic to surgical tape. My skin blisters, burns and itches on contact. I just used Polysporin and took the tape off as soon as I saw they used it. I told them I was allergic before surgery. I think they used some during the surgery also because I had welps under my breasts that looked like tape had been there. It was also burning and itchy. So much for telling them you're allergic!!
Bacitracin.
