Default Attempting to regrow lost hair using.......

    VAGINAL CREAM.

After a LOT of searching online...I'm now trying Monistat 7 vaginal yeast infection cream on my scalp. My hair loss is severe and I have been one of the ones that did every thing right. I took my vitamins, i took my biotin, i ate my protein. But since I also lost about a quarter or more of my hair after my three pregnancies, i was expecting this.

But now...i have lost at least a third of my hair. its very thin, very straggly, and you can see scalp everywhere ...and it is showing no signs of slowing down or stopping. I've been losing handfuls for three weeks now.

I started using it today, i separated my hair into one inch strips and apply with my fingers along each part for my whole head. Took about 15 minutes..applied to scalp directly. I will be doing this daily until this tube runs out, to see if i see a measurable difference. I will keep you all posted!

incidentally....reports from users are more encouraging than not....some even reporting up to an inch or more a month in growth. If i could get an inch of growth, all the baby hairs would fill in the bald scalp. i would be THRILLED.

I lost quite a bit of hair after the sleeve too...and was expecting it since I always shed after anesthesia. I had my gallbladder out a few months later...more anesthesia...more hair loss. I would love to find something that works. Please keep me posted and good luck!

Can't wait to hear about this. I just read up about this on the internet thanks to your post. They say to mix it with a carrier oil. Using Monistat 7 for Hair Growth | eHow.com

I'll be interested to see if it works. Please keep us posted.

I didn't mix it, I did it straight...i am GUESSING that this is a water soluable cream, since it is made for delicate vaginal tissue. it soaked in INSTANTLY and left no greasy residue at all. I will definitely keep you all updated.

I am however going to be spraying my hair with a mix of water and argan oil. i have not done it yet this morning, but i took a dropper full of argan oil and the rest water in a tiny spray bottle. i will shake it and immediately spray it on. i did it straight a few days ago and it was too oily, but this stuff also has great reviews for keeping hair healthy, don't know about helping it GROW though.

I started this yesterday as well after Erce posted about it. I mixed it with olive oil yesterday and then this morning after shampooing rinsed with cider vinegar in water because that kills yeast as well. I'll have hubby measure my hair tonight but for me it's not about growing it fast, I want the thickness back (more hairs per inch of scalp). Mine already grows about 9 inches a year. Not sure how often I'll do it. I'm pretty sure it lasts a while in the tissues so I'm thinking every other day will be enough. Will be interesting to see how it works.

I took picture with my hair parted in the center...up close pic of scalp. because i color my hair and have about half an inch of un colored area showing, it should be easy to see the growth this month in the next photo on the first of march. I'll try to keep details of exactly what i do. if you are one of the women effected by this, its DEVASTATING. over weight women usually try to do a lot with hair and makeup because clothes are never feminine or fun (at least that is MY experience.) its horrible for another reason too...one of life's cruel little jokes. weight loss surgery hair loss usually hits at three to four months post op...JUST when you are starting to see significant changes and feel good about yourself.

I just put it in with no carrier oil, but I do oil my hair with jojoba oil. Seriously, like Lisal said, it just disappears into your hair, no greasy residue (although I've had issues with generic brands being greasy.) I really hope this works for you! Keep us posted.

ETA: it works for me. If you google images of "Monistat Hair Growth" my comparison pictures are typically the third and fourth to pop up. You should be able to tell they're mine because of the hair color.

Monostate 7? I have never heard of this, where did you find out about this? I have done the biotin for over 18 months still very thin hair. I hate it! I put makeup on my scalp it helps to hid the loss

Hey, yankegal! LONG time no see! I hope you will join us in Virginia Beach in May for a East Coaster Sleever MEET UP!
Anyway, I use FOCUS. It is a powder you shake on your hair where it is thin and it makes your hair appear thicker! I really like it. It comes in different colors. Just google it. It isn't cheap, but it has lasted a really long time. I bought the hair spray to go with it, but you don't have to.
    PLEASE COME TO VIRGINIA BEACH!!

Hey, Peggy...I hear ya...I've had four surgeries since 9/2011. I already had thin hair to begin with. It never "fell out" after the sleeve, but it just stopped growing, so consequently, what I had was just DEAD. It finally started to grow after I got serious and doubled up on my protein. I even got a haircut a few weeks ago - I'm taling about 1/2inch trim - then I had a surgery last week - I think I have to start over now! I am going to try this monistat, though!!! Or...maybe I should just buy a WIG!!!!

I'm kind of a long hair guru, and just FYI, ALL hair is dead. I'll never get why people say you have to trim off the "dead" ends on your hair. No one says that about fingernails, even though it's the same principle.
