    Default Is this normal?

Im 7so days post op but I noticed that I've been having random pains that last 2 or 3 seconds at night when im sleeping, its a sharp pain in my stomach. If I don't drink anything they come back in 10 mins and if I do drink they come back within an hour, I noticed them right after surgery the and I don't have to be sleep even if im sitting. It it Normal for these for these short burst of sharp pain?

I still have sharp pains under my large incision and have found it to be common among people at my support groups. Someone recommended massaging it. If it's incapacitating, please see your doctor. My surgeon told me that if it's that bad it needs to be checked in case it's "something deeper."

I have not had that, but I do have like a funny hunger growl once in a while, like a peristaltic churn that is a bit sharp, like your stomach is moving, either when I am empty at night, or too full. But just to have a flash of pain out of nowhere, I don't think so. I have read that someone said she can't sleep on one side, she gets a sharp pain, but it went away after several months. Let us know what you figure out and good luck to you, sleeve sister!

I had really bad pains at night for the first two weeks but then they started to fade away. I would have horrible stomach cramps or shooting pains in my left side. I told my husband it was like having contractions cause they were so intense. Fortunatly, now I have a dull (but constant) pain in my side and that's about it. If you are concerned then absolutly talk to your doctor but otherwise they should get easier over the next several days.
