Meet Up for East Coasters Summer 2013

I am looking at the weekend before Memorial Day and the location VIRGINIA BEACH. I have a lifelong friend who lives at the Beach and she claims prior to Memorial Day it is just so much cheaper for everything!! For folks who would be flying in, flights to NORFOLK are cheaper than going to Richmond. For drivers, traffic on Route 64 East to the beach willl be WAY less before Memorial Day, hotels will be cheaper, flights will be cheaper!

We will be investigating different hotels over the next few weeks and will try to get a GROUP RATE. VA Beach is a military town, so my friend and I both being Veterans, we may be able to even get a bigger discount...hmmm...or maybe a SENIOR discount, damn it!

I would really love to come but it would be a little far and expensive for me. Saving every penny I can from my Social Security to pay for PS for myself and daughter. We may have to forget about a vacation this year so next year we can make a trip to TJ mexico.

I was looking at this thread with serious thoughts of heading over to the States for the meet up, followed by some time in NYC. BUT unfortunately it clashes with a trip I'm already taking to Australia to see family.

I would like to do a trip to the states some time, and meet up with some stateside sleeverdudes. I'll keep y'all posted if I get it organised.
