Default Made the 100 pound club but srtuggling

Been gone from here a while. I have lost 104 pounds BUT it is still a fight EVERY DAY to "be good". I cheated durring Christmas and have kept eating some cards and over eating. I think I have streched my pouch as I can eat more before I'm FULL. I have the same habits, I still want to eat, I still miss sweets.

I am definately addicted to food. SO, I am going to do the 5 day pouch test to try to shrink my pouch back, get my butt back in the gym and lose these last 30 pounds. I am surprised I haven't gained any weight. Just like alchohol, once addicted always addicted.

Love the Yoplait 100 cal greek ypgurt black cherry, gonna eat one now

    Bye

Congratulations on the 100 pound club! I'm lacking 1 pound. I know what you mean about being addicted. I still miss sweets and still crave them. My weight loss has slowed as well and I still have 40 pounds to go. Hope I make it to goal. We still have to work really hard. People think this is easy. It isn't!!

Buzz, I haven't seen you on here in so long...and welcome back to posting. Please keep us updated on how the pouch test goes for you. I was going to suggest it but you've already got that covered. I'm sure you'll have great success and regain your momentum and control. One thing you've learned though is that for you, the addiction to food is still there and the sleeve is a tool as we were told before surgery. The tool should be used in conjunction with proper food choices, etc. as you well know.
I think there were more than a few here who indulged over the holidays, but the terrific thing this time is that it wasn't any where near what we used to consume I'm sure. I didn't gain weight and that was a big victory...same for you.
Good luck and rock that sleeve!

Awsome job on that loss. As far as the eating goes. You sounds like you already have a plan. I say do what you know to do.I can say this. It is encouraging to know that through all of this you have not gained. So this should be a plus for you. Let us know how your pouch test goes should you decide to do one.

You have done really well with the first 100. Most of us were and still are addicted to food but we all have made big changes. The last little bit is definitely going to be hard for you like everyone else. But You can do it. You know what you need to do so I'm sure you will succeed. Let us know how it goes.

Nice to meet you - thanks for coming back and posting, always great to hear from people further along. Just this week some less healthy choices are creeping in for me - it's because I always have a stressy week before I go on holidays and stressy = comfort eating for me. I am trying not to think of it as cheating, but just in terms of healthy/less healthy choices. If I think the word "cheating" then I think stuff like "I've blown it - oh well, may as well have another one". I'm really trying hard not to let that thinking creep in because that has always been my downfall on diets in the past. The great thing about the restriction is it makes it very hard to blow it altogether - you can generally pull it back the next meal.

5 day pouch test sounds like a good idea to get your sleeve back working as well as possible, and break some of the bad habits creeping back in. Keep us posted on how it goes.

Congrats Buzz - you are doing Great! I've been having the same trouble with sweets lately and have gained and lost the same 5lbs several times over the last couple of months. This week I threw out all the sweets in the pantry and am using a tip from a recent Dr Oz show. They said everytime you crave something you shouldn't have to change the image of that sweet food in your mind to a food you hate (like anchovies, sardines, or something you can't stand). So when I crave something sweet I picture a can of sardines - yuk! The craving is going away and the scale is starting to move now.
