Default Will I be tucking my skin folds into my jeans?

So Im a little worried about the weight come off to fast and me having so much excess skin. There was a girl on you tube that showed her tummy after her weight loss and she had so much loose tummy skin it was unsettling. Is that the norm? Will I end up tucking my tummy rolls into my jeans? Will i need a tummy tuck surgery more than likely if i want to wear a form fitting t shirt ? Im 273 and want to go down to 160.

It depends upon so many variables. It is a good idea to wear something like a SPANX to support the skin and help pull it in. I feel very good in mine and wear it everyday. It makes me feel so much better!!

I read that and started cracking up the mental image sounds about like how I felt before surgery. I expected a lot of excess skin and I was almost too afraid of the skin to go through with it but I think it really depends on a lot of factors and when it comes down to it we are all different. I have pictures of my skin in my album just because of this question.
I at my heaviest was over 400lbs so I am sure a big part of my excess skin comes from that but I was just talking about the skin a few minutes ago and I realized I might not need a tummy tuck AT ALL. Yes it will take time but since about 6 weeks post op I have been wearing body shapers which help a lot. I thought they would only help to make me appear smaller but when I wear them you can see how much the skin seems to "go back" if I don;t wear it for a week you can totally see a difference. I also rub my entire body (hair and all ) down once a week in coconut oil which I was told by a plastic surgeon may be helping the skin shrink a lot.
At this point I am 16 months out and there are moments it bothers me but for the most part I am ok with it and I know in time it gets better and better. If it helps give you a perspective I am 5'8" and 170 right now (164 was my original goal) I wear form fitting clothes and even if I decided not to wear the body shaper thing its not noticeable threw the shirt. Oh and one other benefit of the body shapers is they hold everything in place so you dont jiggle when you exercise which makes exercise more enjoyable for me.

I wear a six 4-6 jeans (15 months out) and I have worn a compression garment on my stomach from day one.....it helps the skin elasticity and prevents further sagging. I had a hard time finding a small one but finally found one at Soma Intimates in the mall. I will wear it until my stomach is completely flat. I also highly recommend serious weight training. When I started heavy lifting, my skin started to shrink. No more bat wings and my legs are firming up like crazy. I also discovered that I have a booty that I never had before....thanks to squats and dead lifts!!!!

I do have excess skin. It's ugly and I will deal with it in about a year, or so from now. Meanwhile, I am thrilled to bits with all of the countless BENEFITS I have received as a result of losing weight.

I think age is also a major factor in skin condition. I'm 64 so there is no hope for me I'll just let it all hang loose. Maybe some day I might get some work done.

The doctor will clear you for heavy lifting after the incisions have healed enough to handle it.

I wouldn't get too stressed out about skin and treat it as a bridge to cross when you get there but follow the advice of those that have gone further down this process.

I started wearing the compression garment at about 6 weeks out because I wanted to be healed before I was wedging my self into it for the first month or so lol I have found a few here and there but I have seen great clearance prices on them at wal-mart I think the last one I bought was like $6.00. But yes Spanks or what ever you can do to keep the skin in place seems to help so much
