Default Chocolate cream pie broke my plateau twice...huh? Am I crazy?

Okay...this may not work for everyone but I am only one month out of surgery and I stayed at 172 from about day 10 post op to about day 21--even though I could barely consume calories. On the 21st day I ate the creamy part of a chocolate cream pie and the next day I went down two pounds on the scale--finally. Then I plateaued at 170 again from day 22 to yesterday (day 30) so I ate the creamy part of a chocolate cream pie again and guess what? I lost two pounds this morning. I'm not suggesting chocolate cream pie every night, but what I think the problem is that I was just not getting enough calories. Anyone have a similar response?

yep ur right.. Probably your body telling you that you need more calories.. just a coincidence you got them from sugar and fat.. It won't continue that same route.. Keep eating the pie and see what happens..

I don't plan to continue to eat chocolate cream pie, that's for sure. Problem is that I can still only eat 1/3 a cup of food at a time. 1/3 a cup of low fat, high protein food four or five times a day is still only getting me to about 600 to 800 calories, and that is causing my body to plateau. I chose the dense calorie food so that I could reach 1200 calories without too much effort.

I also believe this theory - I used it when I did weight watchers. I would eat over my points for a few days then under my points for the rest. I think you trick your body into thinking you are NOT starving which makes you lose weight. Nothing wrong with a piece of pie every now and then :0)

Right now, 38 days out, I'm still following my powerlifting diet that was tailored for me by my strength and conditioning coach. I'll eat above on heavy lifting days, and under on cardio days, carbs are higher on lifting days, lower on cardio days, reversed with fats. When I'm stalled or not moving on the scale, I eat a bowl of kids cereal to create an insulin spike and then go right back to my diet.
