All though we are from many countries, I thought there might be value in sharing information about any products which we may have found useful (or not).

For example we all use scales but from my research there are quite a few models which are renowned for their inaccuracy. I was actually surprised to see how inaccurate so many models are, because we naturally expect that things like brand new scales would all be accurate. After research, I identified a number of brands and models which are reportedly consistently accurate. As I haven't used them all, I'll only recommend the one with which I am familiar. I bought the Homedics SC-120-AU scale. This is only a $40 analogue scale but it reads exactly the same as my Doctor, my Dietician and a local Jenny Craig weight loss franchise, so I'm pretty certain that it's accurate. It's worth noting that this same company also produces other models which are reported on forums as accurate, and some which are not. This is the case with all manufacturers.

It's weird to actually think that there are a lot of inaccurate scales going around. I do have a chinese made scale and I think i'd check it out later. thanks for your tip on the homedics scale!

I've got a Conair Thinner TH300 and it's great.
When buying a scale, I usually test many of them in the store to see if they all give similar readings. You would be surprised, many of the same model give different readings.

I figure that as long as I am using the same scale every day, it will accurately show my weight loss. I know that just by going from scale to scale it can be different.

I just looked this up on the internet and this is what it says: Acomplia is a European prescription drug that’s used to combat obesity in men and women. This drug is also known as Rimonabant or Zimulti, but is not offered or approved in the United States.
