Have you had your liver checked? Fatty liver disease shows with itchy hands and feet.

You may need to have your thyroid checked. I had itching issues but it was with my scalp and body. Check with your general physician or an endocrinologist.

It may not be related but I had sever itches 2 years ago, got full blown hives. I took reactin to control the itching and hives for 8 months until I could see a specialist and they took a sharp point and wrote on my arm (just the red mark like from a scratch or pressure). The writing didn't immediately go away, it stayed on for more than a few minutes. They then sent me for vitamin D tests and it turned out I was severely deficient in vitamin D. I now take it in liquid form (5000mg) everyday. No more itches! Itchiness is a subtle sign of vitamin D deficiency.

If you're not dehydrated and you've put cream on the itchy spot then you should grab yourself a bottle of liquid vit D (liquid absorbs easily and quickly over pills). More than 85% of the north American population is deficient in vitamin D. It staves off cancer and prevents depression. Hope it's better!

I noticed the itching a couple of days ago and it is driving me crazy. Checked out some other sites on this issue and I discovered that quite a few people have this itch reaction to either the anesthesia or the pain medication (morphine).
