I am sorry to hear you had such a bad time.

I am in about 20# of goal but I was under the impression that it is way to early to get a TT or mommy makeover. I am thinking of doing it a year from now, get stable at a goal weight. Why did they have you come in for it if it was too early? Were you given different info? I am going in for a consult in january, so i will know more then, but just curious.

When I talked to my sleeve surgeon about when to get plastic surgery, he recommended that after I reached goal weight to wait 3 months as the body shifts and rearranges itself during that time and needs time to finish. He said as a result I would be much more pleased with the outcome of PS.

that is why I have decided to have Dr. Quinones, I became concerned about all of the surgeries they do at Jersulam and I thought that was crazy, your experience just confirmed they just have an assembly line going.

Where is Dr.Niebles at now.. I had my breast done by him in TJ the same time you were there I believe. My sister had the sleeve at the same time.

Wow, I missed this entire thread, I was out of town for the original posting, then it was buried.

Again, WOW, don't even know where to start. SOOOO sorry for your experience. I am so blessed to have had a great sleeve AND plastics done in Mexico. Ortiz was my sleeve doc but due to cost I decided to go with Niebles. Christy (msvetrn) here on the forum spoke so highly of him, I was lucky to find her and to ultimately use Niebles.

It isn't an "easy" surgery it is way more involved then the sleeve and I agree, would never want to start the surgery at night. Glad you are doing okay and that you are pleased with your results. You ARE wearing a compression garment aren't you?? I hope so after getting lipo it is necessary. Give us an update!!

Okay Christy, I'm not trying to be a snot, but if this is true then why did you not know about the incident that I was referring to in the forum on my blog? If you are the coordinator for him shouldn't you have known what had happened to this patient? Instead of finding out after reading and following up on my post? Again I mean no disrespect.I'm just curious about the process here.

can't believe all this happened to you!!! i just had my tummy tuck last saturday and everything its going perfect! but i guess its because its another doctor, actually this dr came to my hotel room to check how I'm ding since the first day i left the hospital and all his staff have ben taking good care of me and the other two girls that had surgery.

actually i found my doctor thru the web and contact him and felt a lot of confidence with him, thats why i came with dr egana in tijuana for my tummy tuck

I dont have anything to do with his patients in Gadalajara. Sorry...that's all I can tell you. I am in Virginia. I am only aware of what goes on with the patients I send him. TRUST ME...Dr Niebles is very compassionate and caring. He must be very upset about a patient that takes a bad turn AFTER he releases her to the recovery toom.

I cannot believe that you would be treated like this...unbelievable! I am so sorry to hear about your experience, but glad you are ok. I am looking into plastics myself, and have been looking at a number of doctors in MX. Some of the things that I have read about Jerusalem Clinic, and the number of patients that they do in a day is just scary. At the moment I am talking with someone from the Santa Fe Medical Group in TJ, I am really liking their coordinator and thinking about booking with them. If all goes well I will let you know in case you go back to MX to have more work done. Best of luck, and I hope everything else is uphill for you!

This is an old thread revived! Well, I DID get plastics Oct 2013 with Dr Sauceda who I would highly recommend, surgery started at 9am, great aftercare,great results -big deal surgery though...whew.

Why does Christy say "Come" have surgery with Dr.Niebles if she lives in Virginia and Dr. Niebles is in mexico? Seems a little weird. Why ould one not say..you should GO to vs Come? Is Christy in VA or in Mexico recruiting customers for him?

I had surgery with dr. neibles & i knew christy thru here....she had a few things done by him also. I never got responses when i needed reassurance after facelift & nose was done. i woke up way too often during surgery & i am not happy with results..the nose was okay but the face no. I am going with dr, sauceda now i feel better about that cuz he keeps you way longer & i have seen a friend of mine here at home who swears by him. Christy lives in the states but became a liason for english speaking ppl in states & canada. she is a good person & gets a cut...not much but something. & she does believe in dr. neibles. who actually lives in hurdurus sp.?....but comes up to rent operating suites & hotel rooms to get the jobs done....nothing wrong with that but not for me.

Sorry for your bad experience. I had a sleeve with Dr. Almanza and am very thankful for his expertise....it was a positive experience. Right now I am in Tijuana again with a friend that had a tummy tuck, lipo and facelift. We are at Cosmed which is a very impressive facility. It is right beside a major hospital. The plastic surgeon she had was Dr. Fuentes. He only does one surgery per day and was so good before during and after. I have spoken with 6 other patients at the facility and they all loved their results. Two had been there previously for breast work and then returned for Tummy tucks. Because Dr. Fuentes and Dr. Quiroz are plastic surgeons and board certified through United States I feel they are a good choice for these types of procedures. The Recovery Boutique where you stay after your first night is a bit costly but the care is so impressive and the food is amazing. The staff all speak English and I have never had such good care. Kudos to Bella and her team!

This thread IS from last year, but I still stand by everything I wrote. I'm beyond thankful to hear that Dr. Yanez is no longer practicing at Jerusalem, because I think that Dr. Almanza is AMAZING, and I hate that he was associated with such an awful guy.

Now that I am 13 months out, I WILL eventually need reconstructive surgery to my lower abdomen. I live with chronic pain from the seroma, fat necrosis, and scar tissue, and STILL have to wear my compression garment daily to prevent any increase in swelling (which increases the pain).

I saw my plastic surgeon two weeks ago, and am scheduled for my revision on February 25, 2014. It's supposed to be a two hour procedure, but should hopefully release a lot of the scar tissue that is in my abdomen.

Would I go back to MX for surgery? Sure! I just would be more careful about who I chose, and not just go on where I had a good experience with a completely different type of surgery. Good luck in your choices, all!
