Well it's done. Had my surgery on Monday. Woke up in recovery with a HELL of a lot of pain in my chest and abdomen. I rolled on my side and just curled into a ball. The recovery nurse said "Sir, everyone in recovery can see your backside!" I responded "well that will make easier for them to kiss my ass!" Finally the fentanyl kicked in and I was off to my room. The leak test went well the next day and I was discharged Tuesday. First couple of days home were rough. Got the hiccups and dry heaves a couple of times (not recommended). Didn't want to drink and it was a chore consuming a mere 8 oz of water. Fast forward to today: still weak and tired but consuming protein shakes, beef broth, and sugar free drinks. Each day is better than the next and I'm looking forward to the rest of my life
