I'm 42 so not at same lifestage, but thinking I may get a necklift after I finish losing weight because I've always had a neck that didn't go up and in under my chin even when I was younger and normal weight, and now will be a bit of a turkey neck. I did think I might get eye lift (upper and lower) at some point in the future, but otherwise think I'll leave well enough alone. I don't want to look young - just not baggy eyed and baggy necked.
The surgery consists of cuts behind the ears and on curve of ear to pull and cut away saggy skin. Can't see the one on the ear curve. Could last 10 years as most facial adjustments last. My skin, for 64 , has no wrinkles, but I got the turkey neck and hate it! It will go away! I only want the lower lift as they refer to it. I'd be happy with 10 years without the neck thing going on.
Honestly out of all the tummy tuck pics I have viewed (counting a seminar I attended on plastic surgery)I really don't see one tummy I would want for myself if I had the surgery...I guess my expectations are BIG when it comes to a tummy tuck. Apparently though this may be because people have them done too soon. From what I have learned people should not get a tummy tuck until they have reached their goal weight and maintained their goal for a period of 3 months.
My boyfriends mom had a "mini-facelift" in Mexico and she looks fabulous. I would have that procedure done.

I just read a ton of Patient Reviews on the Lifestyle lift and the majority of them were not good. Most of the negative ones were about not receiving the proper after care instructions or not having their concerns and post op problems addressed. I am sure there are people out there who are happy with the results like anything else, though.
Interesting comment about the tummy tuck pics you have seen. My tummy looks like it did when I was 16. My coworker had hers done here in Richmond and it also looks fabulous. What ARE your expectations?? I was at my goal weight when I had my TT, but I had only been at it for about a WEEK. Each doctor has his own school of thought on that. I agree, someone should at least be at their goal weight but I do not believe it has to be for any certain amount of time. But,then there are those who will never get to their goal weight because of the weight of their excess skin. Its all a personal choice as to when you have it done.

But....where is it? I couldn't handle a 12 day stay. I was itching to come home after three when I had the tummy and arms done! So, when are you going???? :-)
Thanks, Eva! Seriously, though...you can't tell by my picture how my face really looks. But then, you know how we are all critical of every little one of our flaws! I'm going to try to relax for now. Just got into the whole ESSENTIAL OILS thing. Will experiment with those for awhile. :-)
I guess my expectations really have to do with my self-image. I would want it it be super smooth...and most of the pics I have seen the skin does not look smooth rather it looks stretched out (which is the look I am already sporting..lol). Plus I am 40 years old the odds are I am never going to have a great body even if I did have multiple surgeries. Would I love to have a great body of course...but realistically I have NEVER had a great body. But who knows once I get to my goal weight I may see something in me I want to enhance or "fix".
As far as the waiting period I completely agree it does vary by school of thought/surgeon. But because I do not hold a medical degree I would most likely just go with the consensus. But that does not mean my heart could not lead me And I further agree it is a choice...a very personal one at that!
